Happy New Year to all you heretics. 2024 has been a crazy year... ...on a global level, we've seen war (Israel, Palestine, Syria, Ukraine, Russia, to name a few countries involved) shape and reshape our world. Mass immigration has been the big talking point, to such an extent that for a few moments, the reality of it seemed to crush mystical beliefs about women having penises (but no, the celebrity class still push that nonsense).
But the main takeaway this year is that people - normal people, centrists, moderates - have started talking openly about the issues with mass immigration and Islamism. We've reached a fork in the road, and it will be fascinating (potentially frightening) to see where this goes next year. For now, all we can do is continue spreading the word (without spilling into the dehumanisation of anybody).
...on a commercial level, my Heretics channel has risen from 0 subscribers just before the start of last year to 287,000 at the time of writing. My goal was to try to reach 20,000 subs within a year, and even that felt ambitious. So, thank you for being here, watching regularly and liking and sharing my content. On X, it has also risen from around 20k to 80k.
The content means a lot to me - sometimes, it can feel like nobody is listening to us. This is especially true of the mainstream media and our politicians. It can feel isolating when all we have on TV is BBC News (which has demonstrably lied thousands of times about Israel, gender and Islamic grooming gangs for a start) and Have I Got News For You (and your nation's equivalents wherever you are in the world now). I hope it has been as much a relief for you to find my channel (and others like it) as it has been for me to find you.
On that note, I do hope you've subscribed to my new documentary channel (‪@AndrewGoldInvestigates‬) which will run alongside Heretics. I can now afford productions on the street, which I think will make a more significant impact on the powers that be.
...on a personal level, I got married this year to my beautiful Argentinian bride Juli. We are quite private, so I don't speak publicly about her, except to say I am very lucky to have found her. I write this as we (well, she) get(s) ready to spend the evening with her family in President Milei's Argentina. The economy is bouncing back for the first time in decades. I've started reading a lot of fiction again this year (my anti-woke book list is here), and I also have a puppy now called Gnocchi.
My friendship group has gotten smaller, as happens as we age. Part of this is related to the content I put out, which makes it difficult not just for me but for my family, who carry the weight of me everywhere they go. I am sorry for the shadow I cast on them, although they wear it with stoicism and courage. .
..which brings me to you, the viewer and, in this case, the reader.
Thank you for everything you do and for your bravery in speaking out about the terrifying issues that tear apart our world. There is a great range of you, so I know many of you have had outstanding years while others struggled greatly. Many will have gained new family members, and many will have lost them. Others will have struggled with finances or mental health issues. My thoughts are with you, and I hope our online communities offer you solace, even if it is minuscule.
How has your 2024 been, and how can 2025 be an even better—or less terrible—year?
Happy New Year,
Andrew
